Salsa Madras is one of India’s most recognized Latin dance schools, founded by Arun Pauer in 2014. Over the years, it has grown into an international dance community, with active centers in Chennai (India) and Graz & Klagenfurt (Austria).
We specialize in Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba, offering group classes, socials, bootcamps, and workshops that bring dancers together in an inclusive and friendly environment.

2. Who is the instructor?
Classes in Chennai are currently taught by trained Instructors at Salsa Madras.
We also frequently host guest instructors from around the world, bringing international exposure and variety to your learning experience.

3. What makes Salsa Madras different?
Salsa Madras focuses on social dancing—connection, creativity, and musicality on the dance floor—rather than competition or choreography.
Every class emphasizes partner connection, clear technique, and real-life dancing experience.

🔸 Classes & Courses
4. What dance styles can I learn?
We teach Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba at multiple levels—beginner, improver, and intermediate. Each course follows a progressive syllabus designed to build solid fundamentals and confidence.

5. Do I need a partner to join?
No partner is required. We rotate partners during class, allowing everyone to learn lead and follow techniques effectively while meeting new people.

6. How long is each course?
Our Beginner course runs for three months, giving you a complete foundation in your chosen style.
Other courses are of variable duration, depending on level and focus (e.g., musicality, styling, footwork, or partnerwork).

7. How do I register for a class?
All registrations are handled directly through our website.
Here’s how it works:

1. Visit the Price Plans or Courses page.

2. Choose the plan that fits your needs and make the payment online.

3. Once payment is complete, you’ll receive access to the class booking system.

4. From your student dashboard, you can book classes according to your availability.
   Each time you book a class, credits are automatically deducted from your balance.

 

8. What are the class timings?

Our timings are updated regularly to reflect ongoing and upcoming batches.

9. What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
For footwear, choose dance shoes or smooth-soled shoes that let you turn easily. Avoid sneakers with heavy grip.

10. What if I miss a class?
If you miss a session, you can use your remaining credits to attend another class within your plan’s validity period.

11. How can I make the payment?
Payments are made directly through the website in INR using credit/debit cards, UPI, or net banking.

12. Are the payments refundable?
No, payments are non-refundable. Please check all details before confirming your purchase.

13. Can I switch between dance styles after joining?
Yes, within the same term, you can switch between styles (for example, from Salsa to Bachata) if your plan allows multi-course access.

Latin Festival Madras has been one of India’s premier Latin dance festivals. However, the festival is currently suspended until further notice.

Our current classes are conducted in Chetpet and RA Puram.
We also organize occasional bootcamps and workshops throughout the year at different venues across Chennai.

There is no dedicated parking, but you’ll find ample parking space around the venue. We recommend arriving a few minutes early.

22. Is there an age limit to join?
Our group classes are open to ages 18 and above.
Private or custom workshops for teens can be arranged separately upon request.
